RBL Brems-und Lenksysteme GmbH was founded in 1994 by two experienced automotive engineers who had been working as manager and R&D specialists in the German automotive supply business for many years.

The basis of the RBL product program was the takeover of the approved Bendix design for hydraulic power steerings. The complete production was moved from Allied Signal Spain (ASAE) to RBL`s first production site at Limbach-Oberfrohna in 1995 after an intense training program of the RBL key staff was finished. Due to a perfect logistic preparation serial production started only two month after disassembly and shipment of the machinery. At the beginning of 2006 RBL moved production to its completely new site at Chemnitz.

During the first years RBL engineers and development staff managed to realize a significant number of new product releases. Since then the product range has been consequently and continiously extended and adopted by innovations according to the requirements of the market. RBL steering gears are accepted for their high technical standard, quality, safety and steering accuracy by various customers throughout the world.

Besides our R&D activities the systematic development of the production process and the modernization of production equipment enable and assure RBL ability to coop with the challenges of the market. ,

A Quality Management System according to ISO/TS 16949:2002 guarranties the highest standard of quality within all processes of the company.
